The Epson Stylus TX106 model is excellent for a minimal multifunction device. The machine has a thermal print-on-demand inkjet print technology with a complex nozzle configuration. It has 90 nozzles for black printing and 29 nozzles for other colors, including yellow, magenta, and cyan. This Epson Stylus TX106 also contains an internal print driver suitable for OS compatibility and duplex printing.
The print direction includes bi-directional minimum distance printing and uni-directional printing. Its max print resolution is 5760 x 1440 dots per inch (dpi) MGA. Meanwhile, its control code includes ESC/P Raster and Epson Remote commands. Then, an input buffer size of 32 KB while the paper path is the top feed and a front outlet. The paper feeding method includes the friction feed when using the auto sheet feeder (ASF).
In physical terms, the width of the Epson Stylus TX106 machine is 12.7 mm, its depth is 68 mm, while height is about 47 mm. Moreover, the compatible media types include plain paper, photo-quality inkjet paper, matte paper heavyweight, and ultra-glossy photo paper. It is also compatible with premium glossy photo paper, glossy photo paper, and premium semi-gloss photo paper. When in storage, the manufacturer recommends a temperature between -20 and 400C.
The maximum supported paper size is A4 or US letter size, while the scanning dimensions are 8.5 x 11.7 inches. Compatible standard paper sizes include letters, legal, A4, A5, B5, half-letter, and user-defined sizes. As for scanning, this machine supports a flatbed color component with a moving carriage on a stationary document. At the same time, it produces scanning resolutions such as 600 dpi for the main scan and 1200 dpi for the sub-scan. Its photoelectric device is also the Contact Image Sensor (CIS), and the light source is an LED.
